Pastoral Leadership Without a Lead Pastor

Pastoral responsibilities have been delegated in the following ways:

• Sermons - Elders will schedule speakers. If you have suggestions call A.J. King

• Worship Planning Commission - A.J. King will chair

• Elections Committee - Max Stuckey will chair

• Deacons - Pat Detwiler will chair

• Pastoral Care and Visitation - Call Pat Detwiler or one of the deacons: Richard and Mary Ellen Miller, Doris Henderson, Ruth Ann Bates

• Communion and Footwashing - administered by the elders

• Weddings, Baptisms, and Funerals - When a credentialed minister is needed, the elders will ask Colin or another qualified minister to officiate

• U.S. Mail - Colin will get and distribute to the appropriate persons

In addition to the elders' regular meetings, they are meeting on Sunday mornings (9:00 to 9:15)

PCRC (Pastoral/Congregation Relations Committee) (Terri Smith, Gabe Stuckey, and Jean Walter) will continue to foster healthy, productive relations between the congregation, Pastor Colin, and the elders acting in behalf of the lead Pastor. If you have a concern, you may contact PCRC, elders, or other individual(s) in the spirit of Ephesians 4:1-5 and Matthew 18:15-17. PCRC will continue to initiate, facilitate, and summarize pastoral and congregational reviews and evaluations. The PCRC is working together with the elders, Colin, and Merv Stoltzfus on a proposal for a congregational assessment in the spring.

A Month of Prayer Together

The following times have been planned for seeking God's direction together:

• Sunday mornings (8:45 to 9:15) in the Upper Room

• Sunday mornings during the Sharing and Prayer time (Jan. 17, 24, 31, and Feb. 7)

• Wednesday Prayer Gathering (7:00 to 7:45 p.m.) in the Board Room (Jan. 13, 20, 27, Feb. 3)
